In their lifetime, one out of every eight women will develop breast cancer.

In nearly five years, The Women’s Health Center at Saint Clare’s Hospital/Dover has exceeded expectations and become an integral part of the fight against breast cancer. The Sixth Annual Saint Clare’s Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2007, at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall, once again benefiting The Women’s Health Center.

To date, the Walk has raised over $215,000 for the continued expansion and enhancements of the Center. This year’s proceeds will again be designated towards the purchase of a new $250,000 stereotactic biopsy table to complement existing equipment. This will provide women with the latest technology designed for this diagnostic procedure.

This year’s event will recognize all survivors and caregivers, at a special Survivor and Caregiver Celebration at 8 a.m. The survivors will then lead walkers onto the course.
