SAINTS-CLASSIC RESCHEDULED TO SEPTEMBER 12TH

Bart
Oates, former all-pro New York Giant, and former New York Yankee
catcher Rick Cerone will lead a number of other sports celebrities
taking part in the Sixth Annual Saints-Classic golf fundraiser
for Saint Clare’s Health System. The original date of the event - Monday, August 28, 2006 - was cancelled due to weather conditions. The 2006 Saints-Classic will now be held at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, N.J. on Tuesday, September 12, 2006. For the 22nd year, the event will be sponsored by JPMorgan
Chase Bank, N.A.
Registration will begin at 10 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12
Noon. Co-chairs for the event are Joseph F. Dempsey, president
of New Jersey Middle Market Banking for JPMorgan Chase, and Dr.
David Feldman, a member of the Saint Clare’s medical staff.
In addition to the presence of Oates and Cerone, the event will
feature the Second Annual Saint Clare’s Corporate Challenge,
open to companies and organizations that register at the Birdie,
Eagle, Double Eagle or Tournament Sponsor level. The winning teams
in the Low Gross and Low Net categories will have their names inscribed
on the Saint Clare’s Corporate Cup and will receive special
awards and recognition at the dinner following the event.
New this year is the Callaway “Shopping Spree” Gift
Card, given to each participant. Each player will receive a $75
card, which allows him or her to go online at any time after the
tournament and purchase an array of great Callaway golf merchandise.
Depending on sponsorship level, additional Callaway gift cards
may be added, bringing the total purchasing power for each player
to $375. A Callaway “Demo Day” exhibit tent will also
be set up during registration to assist players in their purchases.
“We think this is shaping up to be the best Saints-Classic ever,” said
Joseph Vitale, Chief Executive Officer of Saint Clare’s Foundation. “The
presence of Bart Oates and Rick Cerone, as well as other sports
celebrities, the unique Callaway gift card for each player, and
the chance to play one of the state’s premier courses, Montclair
Golf Club, makes this a unique opportunity for any golfer.”
With fabulous prizes, contests, great food, a championship course
and the chance to play with sports celebrities, the Saints-Classic is
one of the state’s most prominent golf fundraisers. Over
the last 30 years, Saint Clare’s golf events have raised
more than $2 million for the many programs and services of Saint
Clare’s Health System, northwestern New Jersey’s largest
community hospital system.
There are a number of foursomes and sponsorships still available.
